SCULPTURE AND INSTALLATION ARTIST
\ CREATIVE PRODUCER
INTRODUCTION
The work of Olivië consists making art and installations as well designing and producing exhibitions as part for museums, festivals and scenes.
Shortly after his study Graphic Design in The Netherlands his work evolved from two- to three dimensional due a fascination for objects and architecture. From that point he was looking for the meaning of the path to enter and started developing autonomous work. Later was discovered that it wasn't specifically about these fields but that the 'key theme' lay in 'connection' as a general characterization and perspective in the red line in which his oeuvre carries today.
Within the art, Olivië is primarily interested in human interaction in daily life.
Creating sculptures, objects and installations gives him a brain overview which normally is occupied by millions of thoughts, and for some, irrelevant connections. By placing emphasis on details within routines which we find among others in cultures, politics and society in general he sensory challenges visitors to review their views on sometimes apparently unisignificant things.
Under his label ARTLAB he is curator of the creative team and Executive Operator as also founder of the organization.
With expertise in the fields of art, culture, design and fashion he develops high-quality productions within the commercial and cultural sector.
He provides added value in the areas of production, concept development and process management for years.
Raised in the world of International exhibition contractors he founded the all-round production house ARTLAB early 2008 which sprouted a perfect commercial connection with his work as autonomous visual artist and the organizing part.
Three years ago he moved from Amsterdam to the Barcelona area at first for a project going on. He never returned and expand his vision.
Through these years he accompanied historical artists for their thought of using nature as value main subject. A present is given and now time is waiting till the embedded seeds will see the light hopefully soon.
Sneak previews are given by development of autonomous furniture design and woodworking projects. In this case we could state that applied art influences autonomous work but the extent to which freedom is lost in the future remains unknown
To this day all works are funded by own earned resources. At all of the artfair invitations artwork is contributed and honoured.
